Thanks for all the warm wishes since I've departed the Santa Barbara paper and KZSB AM 1290 to travel and take a break, and look at other opportunities. I've created this site to keep in touch and for you to have a way to contact me. I've kept this site kind of low key, but in the past days it's had visitors ranging from the U.S. House of Representatives to Oxford, England. Thanks for your interest, and thanks Google.

To my Santa Barbara friends, I hope you don't feel that I've let you down too much by not continuing the good fight to preserve Santa Barbara and hold its elected leaders accountable. One never knows, though, what the future might bring ...

Predictably, I've been badgered by people looking for a big drama about why I left the paper and radio station -- and then use it as an opportunity to try to attack the owner of the News-Press. To that, I say good luck. The opinion page raised its share of ruckuses when people said newspapers had lost their relevance. That's a happy thought to remember.
